We are proud to be closing out the year having won three awards for our work on East Fishkill Living, a monthly community magazine that goes direct to 3,600 households in my hometown.
1. Publication Excellence Award in Writing – Writing Series
The APEX Awards are based on excellence in graphic design, editorial content and overall communications excellence. Working With Words earned an award for Excellence in Writing – in the Writing Series category – for a collection of our cover stories, each one written about a remarkable family in East Fishkill.
2. Silver Marcom Award – Advertising
The NYX Marcom Awards recognize, celebrate and honor creative excellence in marketing and communication across all facets of industries and mediums. A series of attention-grabbing ads that ran in East Fishkill Living used humor and cuteness to build the brand of a local veterinary medical group. The campaign earned a Silver Award for creativity and excellence in advertising.
3. Customer Service Excellence Award
Completing the trifecta of award recognitions for 2021 was a Service Renewal Excellence Award from Best Version Media, which produces 1,000+ hyperlocal hometown magazines around the country, including East Fishkill Living. The award, which BVM presented to me in November, recognizes publishers who provide extraordinary customer service, resulting in long-term client retention.
A lifelong resident and a veteran Wall Street marketing and communications executive, I launched East Fishkill Living in 2017 to bring people together and help shine a positive light on my community while providing a platform for local businesses to reach their target audiences. I launched Working With Words in 2001 to serve the editorial needs of my clients, now including two of the top four wealth management firms in the world.
